Dogfish Shark

Take a plunge into the ocean this month!

The Museum is staying cool throughout June by exploring ocean life and what makes the creatures that inhabit its waters so important. Investigate sharks, octopus and create ocean animals as you become a voyager of the sea.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, compete in our Ocean Olympics to see if you have the skills it takes to survive under the sea . On Wednesdays and Fridays, take a Deep Sea Dive through the different zones of the ocean and discover the creatures that inhabit its waters.

Additional activities this month include:

June 3 & 4 - The Outrageous Octopus: Did you know that octopus are known for their problem solving skills? Or that they have a foot attached to their head? Get to know this outrageous sea creature.

June 10 & 11 - Seashell Science: Learn about different animals that use shells for protection. Little scientists will have the opportunity to get hands-on with our collection of shells and make their own seashell art.

June 17 & 18 - Creative Ocean Animals: Use paint, glue and recyclables to make fun ocean animals.

June 18 - Father’s Day: Make a special card for your father or for someone who is like a father to you.

June 24 & 25 - Shark Attack: Have you ever wondered what the inside of a shark looks like? Get up close and personal as we dissect a dogfish shark.
