This month, Discovery Place KIDS-Huntersville is diving into science. Join us throughout June as we experiment, test, play and predict to help us better understand the world we live in.

Enjoy science-themed Story Time tales, including Press Here by Herve'Tullet, Meet Einstein by Mariela Kleiner and What is Science? by Rebecca Kai Dotlich.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, build a boat and test your engineering skills to see if it will sink or float. On Wednesdays and Fridays, join us for Color Mixing as we learn about primary colors, secondary colors, liquids and solids.

Additional activities this month include:

June 14: Flag Day - Make your own flag to take home and join us for a special reading of I Pledge Allegiance by Pat Mora & Libby Martinez.

June 19: Father's Day - Make a gift for your dad, or someone who is like a dad to you, in I CAN Create this weekend.

June 21: Summer Solstice - It’s the longest day of the year! We’ll have fun crafts and activities to go along with our summer theme.

June 25: Fun with the Sun - Create art with some special materials that need the sun's rays to change.
