Essential Standards:

  • K.P.2.1: Classify objects by observable physical properties (including size, color, shape, texture, weight, and flexibility).
  • K.E.1.1: Infer that change is something that happens to many things in the environment bases on observations made using one or more of their senses.

Objectives:

  • Students will use vocabulary to describe textures and other properties observed by our senses.
  • Students will begin to decipher between the senses and body part (we see with our eyes- the sense is sight).
  • Students will begin to understand that sight, smell, taste, hearing and touching/feeling wall enable us to observe the world).
  • Students will begin to use vocabulary to describe textures and other properties observed by our senses.
  • Students will begin to understand how our senses work together, such as smell and taste.
