February is all about celebrations. From the Museum’s 5th birthday to Mardi Gras, you don’t want to miss out on all the festivities this month.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we're celebrating American Heart Month. Get your heart pumping and body moving as we play different games from all over the world. On Wednesdays and Fridays, we're honoring Black History Month by learning about African-American inventors and their creations.

Additional activities this month include:

February 3 & 4 - I’m Flossin’: Celebrate your smile as little guests learn about the responsibilities and importance of keeping their teeth clean.

February 10 & 11 - Valentine’s Day: Roses are red, violets are blue. We’re celebrating Valentine’s Day and hope you will too! Stop in to create a beautiful valentine for someone special.

February 13 - Mardi Gras: Purple, gold and green! Kids can make a fun, colorful craft as we celebrate and learn about Mardi Gras.

February 16 - Chinese New Year: Celebrate the Year of the Dog as we create paper lanterns and learn about the Chinese New Year.

February 17 - FREE Admission + A Birthday Celebration: Happy 5th Birthday to Discovery Place Kids Rockingham! Enjoy FREE Museum admission and plenty of birthday party fun.

February 17 & 18 - We Can Party: The Museum is turning 5! Decorate festive crowns and masks as we celebrate this happy occasion.

February 24 & 25 - Let the Games Begin: Do you have what it takes to win the Discovery Place Kids Olympic Games? We’ll celebrate the 2018 Winter Olympics with a special “torch” lighting as little Olympians participate in events around the Museum.
