Discovery Place Kids Rockingham
As part of our Youth Volunteer Program at Discovery Place Kids-Rockingham, students engage with the science museum industry to build critical personal and professional skills that will support their post-high school aspirations. All participants will be involved with early childhood programs, informal science education, the non-profit space and much more. The program provides opportunities for volunteers to be immersed in STEM and develop skills through STEM-based experiential learning experiences.
The Youth Volunteer Program is for grades 9-12 and has limited availability. Applicants will be selected based on a completed program application, reference letters and an interview. Students will be notified of their Interview dates at the close of the application period.
Applicants should complete the Youth Volunteer Application and provide two reference letters from their current school, church or other extracurricular organizations.
Applications for the 2019 Summer Session will be accepted April 29 through May 19 at 5 p.m. Apply now.
