Explore Earth with Discovery Place Kids-Rockingham this month

Discovery Place Kids Rockingham

This month, come to Discovery Place Kids-Rockingham to celebrate all that our environment gives us and learn how to keep the planet clean as we explore our beautiful Earth.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, meet our caped crusader friend, Michael Recycle, who is on a mission to make the Earth clean. Discover the ins and outs of recycling and why it is important during our special program, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Turn to the weather on Wednesdays and Fridays with our special What’s the Weather? program where visitors can try their hand at forecasting and learn about different types of weather.

On the weekends, children will have the opportunity to investigate the lifecycle of a seed and plant one to take home during Let’s Grow.

Plus, take to the ocean with our latest puppet show, The Shell Game, in which little explorers will experience an ocean adventure guided by Hermie the Hermit Crab and friends including, Miranda Mermaid, Stella Starfish and Ollie Octopus.

And don’t forget, our summer hours begin May 27, with the Museum extending the fun until 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays and until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays.
