We're bugging out! Crawl, fly or hop on over to Discovery Place KIDS this month as we learn about bugs.

From insects and arachnids to butterflies and bees, we are finding out why these creatures are so important with a variety of hands-on daily activities.

Join us for our favorite bug-related Story Time tales, including The Very Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle, I'm Trying to Love Spiders by Bethany Barton and The Bugliest Bug by Carol Shields.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, join us for Bess Beetle Bop to learn about these fascinating insects. Fun doesn't stink on Wednesdays and Fridays as we compete in a Dung Beetle Relay.

Additional activities this month include:

July 9: Busy Bees - Bees are the only insects that make food we eat. They are also wonderful pollinators. Find out what the buzz is all about as we learn about the life of our bee friends.

July 17: Insect Art - Create your own colorful piece of art with an insect in mind.

July 23: A Meal of Mealworms - Drop by for a tasty insect that is sure to satisfy your taste buds. Prizes will be given to the daring bug eaters.

July 31: Mighty Ants - Ants have been able to survive on Earth for over 100 million years. Little entomologists will learn how ants hear, taste, touch and smell.
