From fish in the sea to birds in the sky, Discovery Place Kids loves the wonderful world of animals. Explore animals from all over the globe through art, science, movement and more!

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, soar like a bird and stretch like a cat. Little guests will be "moo-ving" like the animals in Animal Action. On Wednesdays and Fridays, explore the wild world of animals from the kangaroo to the polar bear in Wild Kingdom.

Additional activities this month include:

September 1 & 2: "Purrfect" Pet - Do you have a pet? Is it a dog? A fish? Or what about an elephant? Join us as we learn what animals make great pets and how we can take care of them.

September 9 & 10: Farm Animal Art - From pigs and chickens to goats and cows, farm animals help provide food and work for our community. Learn about some of our favorite farm animals and create art to take home.

September 23 & 24: Endangered Animals - Did you know that some species of animals are in danger of existing? We'll explore the endangered animals in our world and discuss ways to help them.

September 26: Johnny Appleseed Day - Johnny Appleseed was an American folk hero who planted apple trees all across the United States. Celebrate his life by learning about his accomplishments and taste testing different types of apples.

September 30 & October 1: Owl Pellets - Some animals swallow their food whole! Little scientists will get up close and personal with the diet of our feathered friend, the owl.
