BASF Kids' Lab
Thanks to the generosity of BASF, Discovery Place Kids-Huntersville is offering BASF’s Kids’ Lab on select weekends each month, December 2022 — July 2023. BASF employees will join Discovery Place educators on the Museum floor and deliver pop-up science experiments for all visitors to enjoy as part of their Museum experience.
The BASF Kids’ Lab program enhances Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) related education for students, creating fun with chemistry and encouraging kids to explore the connections between chemistry and the world around them. Over 250,000 students have participated in the award-winning BASF Kids’ Lab programs throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. For more information about BASF Science Education in North America, visit their website.
“We are grateful to have the support of an amazing community partner like BASF, who is dedicated to bringing quality STEM education to the diverse and growing Charlotte region. Through their Kids’ Lab curriculum, we are able to offer additional hands-on science learning, outside of our regular exhibits and programming, to Museum visitors.”
Tifferney White, Chief Learning Officer of Discovery Place.
