This month is all about Our Planet Earth!

Join us throughout April for a variety of hands-on activities as we celebrate what makes Earth so special. We also will learn how to protect our environment and keep our planet clean.

Gather 'round for environmentally-friendly Story Time tales, including Our Class is Going Green by the Kindergarten students of Oak Park Elementary School in Oklahoma, The Earth and I by Frank Asch and Michael Recycle by Ellie Bethel.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, check out our indoor rain demonstration and learn how flowers drink water. On Wednesdays and Fridays, learn about seeds and the part of a flower. Kids also can plant a seed to take home!

Additional activities this month include:

April 10: Don't Be a Litterbug - Learn about the effects of littering and then make your own litterbug out of recyclable materials.

April 16: Down to Earthworms - Learn how earthworms break down soil for composting and take a look at some earthworm friends.

April 22: Earth Day - Dig in the dirt and help us plant some seeds to kick off a new growing season.

April 24: Michael Recycle - Learn the story of Michael Recycle and participate in recycling activities.

April 30: Arbor Day - Learn through stories and crafts how trees help our environment.
