You and your guests will have exclusive, after-hours access to the Museum for two hours! Party Presenters dedicated to your party manage setup and cleanup—all you have to focus on is fun. The birthday kid will receive an exclusive Discovery Place Birthday t-shirt. During playtime, we will gather everyone for a Science Show and end the evening with a Big Fun Dance Party to celebrate the birthday child. Add-ons are available to enhance your party experience.

What days are available for Birthday Parties?

We offer birthday parties for ages 1-10.

Can I bring food, snacks or drinks?
If you want to provide food for your party guests, all food must be store-bought. Food that is prepared at home is not permitted. All food must be brought to the Museum by the hosts; the Museum does not allow food delivery. The hosts and all adult guests will be required to sign waivers.
Please note: any alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the Museum.

Can I bring my own decorations?
Yes. While your dedicated 'Celebration Station' includes 2 six-foot tables with tablecloths, feel free to bring free-standing table decorations to make it your own. Please note, for the safety of our visitors and resident animals, balloons are not allowed in our facility.

What is your payment and cancellation policy?
Full payment is required at the time of your reservation. Cancellations made with two week’s notice or less are non-refundable. Cancellations with more than two week’s notice are subject to a $100 cancellation fee.

How do I book a party?
Fill out the Party Request Form or contact our Guest Sales and Reservations team at 704-327-3046 x300. Payment in full is required to book the party, and all reservations must be completed by phone.
